Our walking trails take us from vast boglands and ancient woodlands to stunning coastal landscapes. We dodge sheep and ponies, catch glimpses of the rare red deer and explore abbeys, gardens and druid stone circles. We'll visit the spectacular Kylemore Abbey and discover Inishbofin and relaxed island life. We explore the misty mountains of Connemara National Park and end our trip in vibrant, colourful Galway.
Along the way we stay in picturesque villages, and enjoy Guinness in the local pub while listening to traditional music. Our rural wanderings put us in touch with the Ireland’s greatest asset; her warm, welcoming people.
Days 1, 2 & 3: The Burren Discover the lunar landscape of the Burren, a stony silver moonscape, visit the lively pubs famous for traditional music; walk across the golden sands of Fanore Beach and explore one of the oldest caves in Ireland.
Days 4 & 5: Inishbofin & Kylemore Abbey Travel to this tiny island just eight kilometres from the mainland and enjoy unhurried, relaxed island life. Visit a spectacular Benedictine abbey with its absorbing history and magical gardens.
Days 6 & 7: Connemara National Park Walk the Western Way, following this long-distance trail as it traverses vast boglands- a hauntingly beautiful and remote environment with rare bird life and unique flora.
